I'm an indo-american..
I've been for a while in India..
I'm fascinated by the country's rich heritage, its colors, festivals, the unity among different religions..
The spicy food makes me wonder how Indians can pop peppers in their mouth..
I WILL truly feel that India's an Independent country WHEN more of the below is done:
People will have jobs..
None are left hungry..
Everybody has a shelter ..
Basic education is ensured to every Indian..
Well-maintained and planned Infrastructure..
Pollution control..
Cultures are saved from dying..
Less of Eve-Teasing..
Medical development..
Medication benefit to every citizen whether rich or poor..
No barrier of age, cast, creed, sex, color, or on the basis of wealth..
No dirtying of roads by disposing garbage, spitting, pissing by the roads...
and lots more..
Of course, India cannot become Beijing in over-night..
but little contribution by every Indian can make a lot of difference..
The leaders of India shed their tears, sweat and blood to turn this country fit to live in when they were tied in chains of slavery..
They initiated things, and the rest participated too!
If we practice the good things, others WILL HAVE to practice them too..
I wonder what they imagined and wanted their dream India would be..
India is such a beautiful place when you think it as a mother or origin..
Counting without which no worthwhile scientific discovery would have been made...
Sanskrit which gave birth to many European Languages..
The diversifying cultures...
She can reach the skies, soar like an eagle..
But all thats good just leaves this place..
If only they could stay back, clean the trash, represent india in their own fields of discoveries & development...and etc - etc
I'll believe that India is now free..that she is now an independent country WHEN a rich person can sit by the side of a rickshaw puller and study..
when cases like child & women trafficking are less to hear..
A safe environment to live in peacefully...
Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE..
The word impossible itself says that I M POSSIBLE
WHAT ELSE CAN AN INDIAN TRULY WISH FOR...
